Urban Wine Fest Varna 2026 is an invitation to all residents and visitors to the seaside town, travelers, professionals, and enthusiasts to celebrate together the festival of Bulgarian wine—International Mavrud Day.
On October 16 and 17, Urban Wine Fest Varna 2026 returns to Varna with a new selection of Bulgarian wines, through which we explore the richness of local grape varieties and Bulgarian wine regions. After three incredible editions at ReBonkers, in 2026 the festival takes on an even more urban character with its new outdoor location.
One of the liveliest, most artistic, and iconic spots in the heart of Varna—the park in front of the Varna State Opera—will become the stage for Bulgarian wine.
Under the twinkling night lights, surrounded by centuries-old trees and historic architecture, amid the city’s rhythm and a fresh musical atmosphere, we look forward to welcoming you for new encounters with local wine varieties and complementary delicacies.
MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE
Every bottle holds a message—about its place of origin, the grape variety, the people who created it, and the story waiting to be told.
At Urban Wine Fest Varna 2026, these messages travel from their place of origin to the city, connect with people, and find their discoverers.
At the wine bars, you’ll find a carefully curated selection of Bulgarian wines showcasing the richness of local grape varieties, served and presented in an independent and approachable manner by established wine professionals from the Bulgarian Association of Wine Professionals.
A selection of over 40 wines will give you the opportunity to rediscover familiar flavors and get to know lesser-known Bulgarian varieties, wines, and regions.
For the first year, the festival will focus on the Northern Black Sea Coast region. United as a community, the region will showcase its terroir with a new, richer selection of wines. Winemakers from the wineries will tell you about their festivals and opportunities for wine experiences. They’ll make you feel like you’re part of their region.
Urban Wine Fest Varna 2026 is a gathering of Bulgarian wine, the city, food, music, and people.
Admission is free.
Wine and food are paid for on-site.
For tastings, you can use your own wine glass or rent one for a deposit.
